Oracle Jiu Jitsu Summer Camp Program 2022

Jiu Jitsu Summer Camp fun!

• Mon – Fri 9am – 4pm (we’ll accept 8am – 5pm* as well)
• Ages: 6 – 12
• Schedule:
  Week 1: Monday, June  27 – Thursday, June 30
  (July 1 is Canada Day, Closed)
  Week 2: Monday, July 4 – Friday, July 8
  Week 3: Monday, July 11 – Friday, July 16
  Week 4: Monday, July 18 – Friday, July 22
• Purchase by the week (as many as you want, if available)
• Kids learn the Martial Art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and. . .
• Self Defense and becoming street smart
• How to handle yourself in difficult situations
• How to avoid physical conflict and resolve it with carefully chosen words

The program includes excursions to local parks (in addition to inside Dojo) for fresh air and sun (weather pending).
Park activities may include (substitutions as required and/or inside the academy):

• “Shark Tank” (combat simulation training in a fun, safe game format)
• “Technique of the day“. Each day kids learn a new BJJ technique
• “Jiu Jitsu Simon Says“. Follow your instructor while learning submission techniques
• “Art is where the heart is”. Bring along your pencils and papers! It’s time to let out some creativity
• “Creative building challenge” brings out the competition in kids to be their best
• “Meditation and breathwork“. Learn to calm the inner mind and bring about peace
• “Snack time/Quite time“. Hard work is rewarded with rest and recuperation (please pack a lunch and snacks** with your child). Quite time, kids can quitely work on things they bring in their backpack from home.

  ** Some light snacks/juice will be provided in case a child arrives without and are free to enjoy.

• Please ensure your child has sunscreen on (as required), plenty of water, a hat, and any allergy alerts affixed to their body for identification (each item should have their name on it in sharpee)
• Free Oracle Jiu Jitsu T-Shirt included. Children will wear a bright Oracle Jiu Jitsu identifiable t-shirt, and name tag stickers, for clear visual identification
• Maximum 10:1 kids/staff. We will attempt to cap our max no. of kids to 20 (+/-)
• Assistant coaches are V3DA hub coach certified

Kids will further be re-enforced with how to . . .

• Become confident about yourself
• Become disciplined
• Become fit . . . and most importantly, have FUN!
• Lee is ‘Crucial Conversations’ certified with over 20 years PMP certified experience
• Jiu Jitsu Gi required for participation (purchase one here)
