Today, we covered two sub from kimura bases setups.
1. standard kimura
2. arm bar
Bot are setup for side control to north south.

– maintain top control
– maintain center of gravity over opponent, using your belly
– monkey grips
– watch position of legs, behind neck
– maintain a good lever position going for arm bar, pointing thumb up

Today we look at the X Guard.
As well as the entry Single Leg X.
Like many guard techniques, their main objective is to control your opponent. But it’s not limited to that. We have sweeps, transitions and even attacks from this position. Today, we look at several control options as well as sweep options.
This position can be a very powerful technique if executed properly. But it’s not easy, and will take time. Once this is mastered, you will have a core fundamental technique in your arsenal that is good from beginner up to advanced jiujitusuka.
