Description
Through the MHB program, our children will learn invaluable skills, including:
– Protecting their head in stand-up situations
– Throwing effective 1-2 punch combinations
– Executing 1-2-leg kick combos
– Checking kicks and improving reaction times
– Bobbing and weaving to avoid incoming punches
More importantly, they will build character, strength, endurance, and confidence—all while making friends and having fun. These skills complement their jiu jitsu training, creating a holistic approach that enhances both disciplines for a complete martial arts experience.
- Class Duration
One class/week. Total class time of 55 minutes. 30 minutes of weights and calisthenics followed by 30 minutes of light sparring. - Class Structure
Exercise Portion:
Rounds of HIIT with rest between
Striking Portion:
10 rounds of pad work. Includes striking via hand work and leg kicks. Goal to achieve agility, endurance, and basic technical aptitude.
Cool down Portion:
5 minutes of light stretching.
